Mark Radcliffe

When City were absolutely shitter than shit we had Oasis backing us and at the same time we had Mark and Lard doing City-related jokes on the Radio 1 breakfast show. I remember them doing "The Ballad of Franny Lee" and other things. At our lowest ebb in the mid-late 90s we were "cool" to support and Mark was part of it.

He always came across as a lovely bloke and a very good broadcaster indeed. I hope he pulls through.
 
Good news, good bloke. Reading that however I hope one day we'll look back at that treatment as we look back at medieval treatment now. It's come on leaps and bounds and Manchester is definitely at the forefront of research.

In the UK perhaps.
But the UK is years behind the US and EU.
 
^ Happy to see him doing well. I’ll probably get his book, his first (last?) one ‘Showbusiness’ was a great read.
Have to say I thought his choice of favourite albums was pretty predictable and pedestrian though...
