I just realized so Independiente del Valle (the other finalist in the Copa Liberatados) played their league game and this final on the same day ! So they played the league game in the afternoon with the reserve team and the final with the first team in the evening. Fucking hilarious ! I know its off topic but I have never ever heard of something like this.

Mind you they played the league game against El Nacional and the Final in the Copa against Atletio Nacional on the same day.

That does seem rather odd. Also off topic but I have really enjoyed watching these South American matches. Need to look for this more in the future.

Great atmosphere and I think the altitude plays a big role in the matches. This one in Ecuador was at 9,000+ elevation. The ball seems to just absolutely take off when kicked. Adds a different dynamic from what I've seen.

This. With Nolito, Sterling, Navas and Sane potentially, we'll be fine. Jesus and Moreno could really give us a boost towards the latter part of the season when we might need it!
