When we talk of wide men don't forget Angelino...might be better further forward than at full back. Lots of options :-)
Do we have the most exciting future crop of players in world football today? Rulli, Maffeo, Denayer, Stones, Angelino, Garcia, Brahim, Moreno, Jesus, Sane and Nacho. That is without mentioning the likes of Gundogan, KDB, Sterling etc. Not all will become world-class but I feel Jesus, Sane, Brahim are shoe-ins to become huge stars. Really exciting!
They can all fight it out over the coming years also with our own kids, & the ones who can't get in the team move on.
Another fantastic angle on this is that we'll probably get all our initial outlay back (and probably a bit more to boot), as the money we've paid for these emerging stars is fucking peanuts compared with their future price tag. Hopefully we shouldn't end up in the situation we're in at the moment, where some of our aging players are like abandoned donkeys spending their last year's lazily chewing grass in some lotto winner's sanctuary rather than being shot in the fucking head and boiled down for glue.
We should take a leaf out of the rags book...let them all go fer fuck all then spunk a 100m at a time buying them all back, surely that's the correct model rather than ruining football as we have been eh.Another fantastic angle on this is that we'll probably get all our initial outlay back (and probably a bit more to boot), as the money we've paid for these emerging stars is fucking peanuts compared with their future price tag. Think you may have missed the hint of sarcasm in my post.Or just do what we're doing now: Hoover up all the best international young talent for relative pennies and wages that won't give prospective buyers a stroke, 'eh'?
