I haven't seen much of him apart from very impressive clips but if his rep is as good as some are suggesting, then he should get a permit as an exceptional talent. He is playing at a higher level than Kelechi was.

And we haven't been taking the piss begging for such permits. Kelechi has proven we were being truthful last time.

If we had 5 players coming in under those circumtances it would be diffrrent, but one should be ok.

I really think he should get one considering Chelsea have gotten permits for players of lesser talent. The loan should just be to guarantee plenty of playing time vs permit issue. He's one of the best talents in all of Sourh America.

Sorry, I meant in general as a strategy for buying S American players.

Love the signing, exciting talent...just wish we werent having to pay over £8mil for a guy we loaning out and wont see play in a City shirt for 1 or 2 seasons.....
 
If it is like most of these deals it will be nowhere near 8m as a one off rather dependent on appearances etc will be a much lower up front payment I would have thought

Perhaps, but this guy seems like more of a certainty and we may have had to stump more upfront because of that.

Still holding out hope that Pep gives him a chance in pre-season and he shows he's good enough to stay in the squad...M.E.N reported we shouldnt have any problems getting a work permit and the kid has played at a high level (Copa) for his country.....He could surprise if given the chance to stick in the squad this season....seems like we already plan to loan him out but hoping we have bigger plans for him...
