This is as close as any news I can find that says that the deal was done on Tuesday but won't be announced until end of the Copa(July 27)


Then there's this, I don't know if it's the likelihood of where he will be sold or not. I know commentary during the semi final game kept saying it was between us and Fiorentina and they might have the edge since they've had a National Team teammate of his in Cuadrado and he might think that's the best place to go and develop.

Personally I hope we can close this deal and do something similar with this as the Rulli situation. Buy and then loan him out to the team that wanted him

Do we still think he'll be able to get a work permit or is this someone we might have to loan out if we signed him?
 
Someone might have the rules on work permit but he's 19 Colombia are ranked 3rd in the world and he's played 7 games this year after his first call up in Febuary including much of Copa America.

I don't think this has to be "Plan B" We should sign many players like this, send them out on loan for a year and bring them back. This is how club turn a profit on players. Gathering as many top 17 18 19 year olds as we can is good business. This kid looks something special also. Maybe he comes off the bench next season for us, maybe hes on loan... either way I want him to be a City player

It's just the timing, by the end of Copa, we might have already signed Sané or not. But if we did, he might go off to Fiorentina. Stuff like that.

i really like this guy. i try to watch some youtube clips of all the players we are linked with and while they are all highlights, some players stick out. obviously his pace stands out, he can dribble, I like the fact he looks like a player who is thinking two passes ahead and has some cockiness to him..... another player that stuck out to me was Sime who ended up at Athletico, think he will be great for them
 
I really like this guy. Pace, Passing and Passion with intelligence thrown in.
He plays for the international team ranked third in the world and has played 7 times for them. He has bypassed the Colombian U21 youth side and is playing for the National team - that indicates class.
If he can't get a work permit I'd be extremely surprised.
The only issue is that he could get a call up for the Olympics squad - even though he has by-passed the U21 squad.

He really does, here's the entire build up to the assist. He was always looking for that backheel.
 
Don't know anything about him but if we want another winger can't we just get Roberts back?
Y'know, just to see what he's like?

We want good young players. Roberts is one, this kid is another. Why you want to wait till they are 60 million pound players before we show interest?

2 year loan deal with Celtic.
We can't recall him 'till the end of next season. He was in & around the first team squad for long enough last season to judge that. My guess that we've made the decision already

Of course not but I sometimes wonder when any of our youngsters will get a real chance. When we signed Roberts people were saying when is x,y, z going to get a chance?
Surely you understand that?

I know.. just think it was daft, could've just given them an option of a 2nd season if we allowed it this summer. Just hope the kid continues to improve this season which I think he will.
