Much better in every respect. And, although the lads worked hard, it wasn’t too strenuous a game either. The customary scapegoats all played a substantial part, even FFS with his cameo. KDB influential. Cole Palmer will be chuffed to get some minutes in Europe.

This. After flirting with Koulibaly and some of the other options we definitely got the right lad. He’s going to be a huge player for us for a decade. He will be captain.

No I get that and thought we played well. It was a good effort. We had some good positions in the first half though and de Bruyne out some great crosses in but I don’t think midfield/wide players have the instinct of forwards. Having said that if we win 3-0 every week without a forward then happy days.

Really enjoyed that but Premier League sides don't defend 30yds out giving us room to get behind them - can't get most of them out of the box.
Certainly looked sharper all round, gundog was pulling strings tonight, upwards and onwards.
