Outstanding performance today. He has always been a good player, just was on occasion in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kompany has made just as many mistakes whilst he's been here but obviously is also a mountain. It's no coincidence we have been so good at the back now that MP has settled on his back two. I think the last couple of games where we have played one striker has done us worlds of good and allowed Komps and Demi to play deeper, pace is his only proper weakness really.

another solid performance from apparently the worst central defender in the premiership , that scouse cnut carragher tried his best to blame him for something tonight , maybe its jealousy because carraghers career was a complete failure compared to MDM

best City player today .... did the basic stuff right and very well.

looks to have curbed his 'rash lunging' into tackles got got into bother. Hoping Kompany will see that and learn from that. Got to stop tackling behind behind like he's a midfielder. its a guarnteed yellow everytime.

His experience and trust in himself are apparent. It would seem that lack of pace can be compensated for with good positioning, confident tackles and smart touches/clearances. Pellers decided he was the man for the job ages ago, so it's nice to see these type of performances so the rest of us can get on board. I found myself complimenting him out loud often today.

Now if we could just do something about that hair...
