He's becoming the cult figure I thought

I don't know why but I have a vision of him banging in a very significant goal before the end of the season

Love the guy!!

a great shout. glad he's getting more and more fans on his side. pundits too have to eat their words.

Deserved MOTM last night. Brilliant display again and you have to love his moon walk celebration.

He is like Zabba - tries his best for the team, totally committed to trying to make sure we score more goals than the opposition.

It is a pity that Moyes stole the limelight from his Man of the Match

I was certainly one (hand on heart) that never rubbished Demi, even with his few costly mistakes that saw us drop some points. However I said this at the time and stand by it,he is far better than Joleon IMO.The contrast in styles of play is huge with Demi looking so comfortable on the ball and the ability to use the ball far,far better.
He seems to have realised that "rushing into a tackle near the half-way line is a bummer, but the bloke has a footballing brain and now uses his reading of a game,to our advantage.
Well played Demi on showing some of these so called clown pundits, that class does rise.
However I realise that we need to find another replacement but what a superb back up player you really are.I can see him staying for another year and then moving onto our "other club" in New York.
Well done Demi.

Been good for several weeks now

Showed a lot of bottle.

Indeed. His decision making has been far better, there are virtually no mad dive ins 40 yards from our goal etc. He always had good, solid, responsible performances in him, particularly against the better teams or in situations where we were under the cosh for one reason or another but he is now consistently defending very well and seems to have recognised that he can't take liberties even against the "weaker teams."

Someone should tell him to keep his hair tied up during the warm up. I thought for a moment we had re-signed Samaras

This fella has done the business in recent weeks, he looks very composed with the ball at his feet now whereas, before the Hull match he looked really awkward with the ball.

P.S. Does he happen to knock around the club shop a lot? Lol. He was in there on that ITV4 documentary and a week later I went in and he was there with his missus.

He has aspirations to become the next Tony Pulis. Either that or he is being paid in club shop vouchers.

He's been fantastic since we played Newcastle at St. James' Park and was consistent before then as well. People just seem to think a lack of pace and fouling the world's best player is the worst crime in football and have subsequently allowed it to cloud their judgement.

He leads the defence when asked to, he reads the game better than most defenders in the Premier League, he's confident in possession & puts his body on the line when trying to win the ball back - and he's dangerous from corners. We've scored 5 or 6 goals this season thanks to his vision to pop up at either post.

Although it's no coincidence that as soon as the press stopped slagging him off, he's suddenly become Mr. Reliable Martin to Bluemoon. He's always been Mr. Reliable Martin, I'm just glad people are waking up to it at long last. It's not like he's 33-years-old and in his first season of English football, is it?

Playing brilliant now, has out performed Vinnie the past couple of months. Now starting to feel we got a bargain.

I agree, I think he is just another who needs a long time to settle in but fair play to him because in recent weeks he has been very good.

I still think we need to upgrade but in regards to back up CBs next season I don't think we can go wrong with having MDM in our squad. I doubt many would be saying that around January time.

Vinny looks burnt out to me, plus his injury has not helped at all.
