Brilliant today.
He marshalled the defence and read the game superbly,is it coincidence his best games are along side Lescott? Made up he got on the scoresheet.

Remember Wigan and Watford?

Didn't Richards play in both?

And your point is? Remember Zab when he first came to us? Christ, he was crude/agricultural /dirty. Now, he's possibly the best RB in the league. Being at the game today, I had the opportunity to watch MdM closely. He had a very steady game today (granted, against poor opposition). But there were no major gaffes. Still wouldn't be my first choice CB, but credit where due. And he even managed to snag himself a goal!

People here (including myself at times) have been overcritical in my view.
Several players didn't exactly set the world alight in their first premiership campaign.
He was excellent today. Hopefully consistency will come.

I agree MDM had a good solid game today but we were playing Fulham tbf , you would expect us to deal with their limited threat , but you can only beat what's put in front of which we did and MDM was part of that so well done to all, 5 goals and a nice clean sheet to boot.

Feeling bit short-changed actually!

;-)

We got 5, but it could have been several more. AK's effort against the bar, Merlin's effort cleared off the line, both in a fairly disappointing opening half. Then Yaya's header, MdM's header that was cleared off the line, Jimbo's shot from the edge of the area, the beast's miss late on.

"Those lucky bastards, it should have been 10"!

Superb today, denied MotM by an outrageous Yaya strike. Didn't put a foot wrong, found a blue shirt when needed and lead the back line well.

Still, all this will be forgotten next time he "makes a gaffe" because he's "slow and past it"
