I'm biased as my mate looks after him. I thought he did well against Chelsea. Composed on the ball with good distribution. Baptism of fire debuting against a pacy counter attacking team away from home.
Speaks volumes of his importance to Pellegrini that he hasn't even travelled for tonights game.
Dare I say he might even teach VK a thing or two about defending further up the pitch.
Not a long term signing but a quality short term fix. Welcome amigo

Could you explain what your mates job is? does he drive him and his family around or iwhat? I'm genuinely interested.

Your mate getting duff info he was in the bench!

Not a Demichelis hater by any means but how many times did he give the ball away cheaply today? Too many for comfort - I believe we'd have been punished by a stronger attacking lineup.

Good on him to win one of them back in the second half though, at least he's showing some responsibility for his own mistakes. Could've gotten himself on the scoresheet too.

I actually was very impressed with him. I'm actually looking forward to him and I think he might turn out to be a great buy. He can play high line, is composed and calm, tackles well and passes very well. He did have one or two sloppy passes but I attribute that more to him lacking match fitness and also one of those passes whoever it was intended to could have gotten that ball if they had hustled a bit more.

To answer your question - 5 times, I know as I was going off my head every time. Balls inside that we're cut out to easily which against anyone of real quality would have been punished.
He looks great defensively and his ability to get in front of his man and win the ball has been a breath of fresh air as it's normally a free kick conceded.
He need to cut out the YaYa/Fernandinho passes and jobs a good'un.

Good player. I really like him. Gave it away a few times but I really like the fact he's always looking to play the ball forward instead of across the back line. Some of his 30-40 yard passes forward to feet were great

Thought he had a decent game making some nice interceptions and playing some lovely passes, one which looked for all the world to have led to a goal.
He did have a good game overall, to not mention how many times he gave the ball away unnecessarily whilst talking about his lovely passes doesn't paint the whole picture though.

He did badly misplace 3 or 4 passes. He also looks like a quality player that takes responsibility and looks to move the ball forward.

He'll do for me.

The only poor point of a great day.his distribution needs to improve quickly.3 passes and 1header straight to the opposition 1st half.3 passes 2nd half and under no pressure on most occasions.hope he turns out a good player for us but today was dire.

Wouldn't say he was dire. Bit strong that. I though he was decent. Looked to carry the ball on occasion and quite comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Dire is pretty strong. He looked like a quality player lacking match practice to me. One of the main reasons we crushed Norwich in the first half hour was because Hooper couldn't hold onto it against either centre-back.

He did well today, although not up against much. What was that all about though when he whistled at Clichy to let him know he was free, a first for me.

Distribution, in the main, was excellent

You will always get a few moaners in the crowd slating him for 3 stray passes, but they forget how many good passes he did, in particular the build up to the 1st

He looks a very good footballer and just what we need in defence while Vinny is out..

Yes he did some poor passes today but i am sure he will cut that out and just play a simple ball ..
