in saying that we probably would have won with everyone fit and, errrr, playing in their proper positions
We'd probably have won if Silva had scored that early chance he somehow skewed wide and Yaya had got a touch on Kolarov's cross. 2-0 in under 20 minutes would have made it hard for them to come back from.

true it could still have gone either way and it took one hell of a strike to settle it in the end

not a defining moment in terms of the season at any rate

might even help put all the medja hyperbole bollox to bed while we get back on with doing the business

Watching the premier league highlights show the other day and it was pretty much all City. I know Chelsea hit the woodwork a couple of times but we put them under the cosh. A couple of those chances go in and its a completely different game (obviously). The media were lauding Maureens team but I thought we played quite well in a tight contest We just had an off day in front of goal. BTW that show also highlighted the brilliant crosses Kolarov put in that night.

Gil Vicente, with seven Brazilians on their books, said the City partnership would bring it "sustainability, projection, prestige" and an "international dimension". Deals with the two clubs may also help City account for some of the huge revenues they have claimed for the sale of their intellectual property to "related parties" – £22.45m in the recently published 2012/13 annual accounts – in order to help pass their impending FFP test. City must show as much revenue as possible to offset losses and come within the FFP figure of £37m lost over the last two seasons.

City say they earned the £22.45m by selling scouting and commercial services to their own Melbourne Heart soccer franchise, Manchester City Ladies FC and their New York City FC – City's new Major League Soccer club. But Melbourne was only bought last month and the women's team requires an entirely different scouting system to the men's side. Analysts are subsequently baffled as to how the new US venture could possibly have contributed so substantially to City's revenues.

The new Portuguese ventures may generate intellectual property sales to boost City's hopes of FFP compliance, though both are modestly financed clubs.

We battered them in the opening 20 minutes but the turning point was Silva's miss, and Ivanovic's goal. We never looked like scoring after that despite having more of the ball.

Yesterday, Arsenal had all the ball at Liverpool, yet everytime Liverpool attacked they looked like scoring. It was the same with City v Chelsea. Chelsea controlled the game from the moment they scored and if they had a centre-forward they would have won more comfortable

However, the City team was shorn of 3 top players, and 2 or 3 players weren't 100%. In the circumstances the first goal was crucial. It will be the same again in the FA Cup tie

Sad to say but I think City are going to have a hard time selling the latest figures to UEFA. I think we'll be the first to suffer under FFP but to what degree is anyones guess. I just think UEFA are looking for someone to beat their stick with and City would be a prize scalp for them. It's not been a good week at the office has it!

Disagree entirely, I think we'll walk the FFPR test. You can't base any conclusions on articles like the above, for instance "City say they earned the £22.45m by selling scouting and commercial services to their own Melbourne Heart soccer franchise, Manchester City Ladies FC and their New York City FC – City's new Major League Soccer club.". Can anyone possibly point out to me where exactly City stated this? It's certainly not in the accounts so you have to presume they're either just making it up on the fly or (even worse) they're taking comments off Bluemoon as gospel. The latter wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I'm also confident that we will be OK on FFP as well. We don't know what these amounts relate to but even so, I'm confident the owners have done their homework and, more importantly, checked everything with UEFA. In addition, we're clearly heading in the right direction so UEFA won't want to be seen to be coming down hard on a club which is seeking to comply with their rules.

The Marketing organisation has set up a new operation in London and have taken on a lease on a building so that could be part of it, plus the contracts of staff engaged in it.
