Martinez needs to take a year out of the game and learn the defensive side of the game. The way he abandons the defence is quite extraordinary really.
I've never understood managers getting a big job straight after relegating a team, like Martinez did at Wigan. Has it ever worked? It was the same with McLeish at Birmingham, then he was given the Villa job. There's some really clueless owners in the Premier League.
