If anyone wants to open a pub themselves and run it, or get some management in to run it, then we're close to the optimum time. Pubs or bars are going to open up when the concert venue opens because it will mean that there is a constant stream of people. The area is crying out for a pub where you can eat before and after the game.
So far it's not viable because apart from the football, if you wanted to go out you'd go into town for a drink or food, but when the concert venue opens and 20k are coming in every day, and they all walk down one route, it's imo a good idea. Also a newsagent, bakery etc.
Why don't some blues get together and buy up an old building, do it up and re-open it and go for it. get the timing right, be the first ones to do it and it might work.
A nice old building would be ideal but are there any? Share the risk by getting a few blues together whose dream it has always been to run a pub.
