Match Ball and Peter Fletcher allegedly (for legal reasons)

The problem with this story is that it will be national by tomorrow.

In that case the City top brass will be less than impressed..PR is such a power nowadays, just look at Cook

Same here and im certain he was bare chested with his left arm punching the air and the ball tucked safely under his right he sets off running towards the north stand. Lost track of him at that point.

This guy?

Hallelujah.....

End of thread columbo ;)

If not already, I think we'll all soon be florensic experts of the 5 mins either side of full time in this game.

Nice angled bit of planking over on the left.

I've said it before, but it needs repeating. Fletcher is a fkng dinosaur, who needs to be weeded out of our club. The story with the ball epitomises the pompous prick.

I've had dealings with him and know others who've been unfortunate enough to interact with him and the verdict is unanimous - The guy is an utter crow.

Every silver lining needs a cloud doesn't it? If this story is true, and I can well believe it is given the utterly ham-fisted nature of Policing in this country these days, it brings shame on the club for even thinking of contacting them in the first place. It makes us look like a right bunch of cocks nationally as well. Can't comment on the Fletcher man, never met him but the opinion on here doesn't appear to present him in anything other than a bad way. Anyway, great PR guys, well done....

I watched the match ball after joe kicked it and it ended up near the centre circle in the north stand side of the pitch. Some bloke who was bare chested caught it and ran towards the north stand. Dont know how old he was but he didnt look 16-17.
Absolutely bang on I did the same as stated above the lad who got it was late 20s the ball never went near the stand..the lad who took it kept it and dispersed with the crowd back into the stand...so for me the story is bullshit as the ball never left the pitch after Joe Hart kicked it in the air until the lad who got on the pitch got it

From BBC "A police spokesman said a youth was arrested on Friday but was de-arrested shortly after."

De-arrested eh?
