Did Danny Murphy really just say that City and Liverpool play with 7 defensive players on the pitch, and United’s problem is that they play more attackers?!
He did say that, but then he added that KDB (and I think he also mentioned Bernardo) have a great work ethic when we don't have the ball. I think he was trying to say our midfielders help out with a bit of defending while the rags just stroll around.

It was a daft way of saying most top teams have 4 who stay up the field but Rags have 5. What he could have said is that Rags players are lazy

Yes and don’t know why they showed the offside header from the Hammers new striker but not the nice move that led to KDBs goal being ruled out
I think they did show it? The whole coverage was a bit flat, not sure why, but it made it easy to miss things. You never knew if something important was happening from the way it was put across. It felt like a random stream of clips. Maybe it was just me. I’m tired.

Especially Fernandes who is clearly the laziest player in the league, but gets away with it because he scores the odd long range goal. Neither us or the dippers would put up with a player like that.

It's nonsense.

However, if he'd said that our midfielders and forwards work their arse off and do their share defensively, unlike crap like Fernandes, Ronaldo and Sancho, then he'd have been right.

I think the difference is that Pep is mad about where the second ball will land and floods that area with players, meaning that we can keep more players further forward in general.

He‘ll have studied the 2-2 match in May against West Ham and seen why they caused us problems.

Moyes thought he had Pep’s number and sent them out to do the same again, whereas Pep watched, learned and changed our tactics to completely nullify them. Moyes acknowledged this in his post match interview.

We do press with more intensity and purpose though.

Well he did state that they have 'one hell of a job'.
That's going to go down well upstairs.
The more I have listened to him the more he sounds like Rangnick when he first got the job! Let us hope that he achieves just the same maybe worse! And just when your sides have stopped aching from the laughter they have been knocked back in a bid for.......ARNAUTOVIC!
