Match of the Day - 2022/23

The coverage of the rags was a full 25 minutes, we got 15. If nobody had seen our full game they'd think we scraped it with a penalty and a breakaway goal. No mention of how we totally outclassed West Ham for 98% of the game, strolling about and passing it around for fun. It has to be one of the most one sided games I've seen against a good top six side. Awful coverage and analysis.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing united get beat, don't mind that being on first. Brighton hadn't beaten them at the swamp so let them have their day. What is frustrating is that they still get far too much post-match analysis as if they're relevant. We're talking about a team that finished 6th last season losing to the team that finished 7pts behind them in 9th. Why is it a surprising result. The rags have hardly bolstered their squad to a level where they should be winning that game. The only reason they "should" is because of people still thinking they're relevant.

Unfortunately, all media know that they have a big audience and will still cater for them and talk about them in greater depth. I'm fine without having lots of analysis. I watch City, I enjoy what I see, and we'll get the respect in the future when Pep has retired and people appreciate just how good his City team was.
