The fact that roughly three million people watch it every week, is proof that there is still a call for it.

I would guess demographics and habit play a role in those 3 million, as well as a few who like the chat.
I also think the highlights at 5.15 on YouTube are a bit shorter in length than the feature matches on MotD, though I haven’t timed them so not 100% sure.

The Sky Sports youtube channel is probably the source you're referring to. 2-3 minute highlights uploaded within an hour of the final whistle. With no inane guff from pundits. I can’t remember watching a single MOTD this season.

I’ve obviously no problem with you, or anybody else not watching it.

Just some people seem to think that because they don’t personally like the programme, it should be taken off air, despite millions still clearly enjoying it.

But not everyone wants or cares to watch YouTube and prefer MOTD. I like Lineker (on football/sport) and would prefer it if he were still presenting MOTD. I am not looking forward to the two women presenters, Chapmans isn’t bad but I would prefer someone like Nedum and Joe Hart alongside him…….plus John Stones when he retires. (Look I had to get a reference to JB somewhere I’m missing him. Wow I dodged a bullet there I typed something else then re-read it…whoops.) ;-)

I’d forgotten that match and I was at it;) What a finisher Tueart was, incredible. He was my City pin up, (along with Donachie), in fact I still have the badge with his face on I bought from the old souvenir shop.
