I honestly don’t get the whole ‘smug’ thing with Lineker. Jug-eared, for sure, but wouldn’t ever personally describe him as smug. Self-confident, sure, which I’d say was a prerequisite of the job, but he never comes across as especially self-satisfied to me.

Think he’s an intelligent and amusing bloke myself.

This is more a BBC rant than a MOTD rant but.......
They've just had a Champs League Final highlights show on. Why did it need Logan plus 3 guests in the studio plus a commentator and his mate out in Paris ?
It's the highlights ffs. They have made my 90 year old mum pay for her licence but can afford to pay 5 people to talk about a match that most people had already seen.

Haven't watched it in years. Sky has 3 or 4 minute long highlights packages on YT within an hour or so of the final whistle, with no inane guff.
