Strong pressure from B’mouth and very little urgency, as always, from us.
Haaland not seeing much of the ball and the wide threat has been non-existent, with one sole exception from Nunes.
Without the Eddie double save, this game would fell over already.
We look old, slow, devoid of ideas. Kova, Gundo & Bernie not beating anyone, Walker getting done, Foden looking anonymous AGAIN, and just wondering where an actually chance is going to come from.
Bossing the possession in the middle third, but the 30% B’mouth have is all dynamic, forward facing, attacking…and dangerous.
Looks like City need at least THREE new, young, talented players for the middle/attacking third of the field, as there is not a City fan…or opposition Coach, who doesn’t know where the next ball is going.
Slow, predictable, and, I hate to say, a little boring. We have been sussed by even the lower half of the League, because they ALL know we don’t like it up us. They play 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 with young, fast players who break quickly and expose us repeatedly, and it cannot be a coincidence at this stage of the season how often we have had to (try to) come back in the second half.
I said in the Match Prediction thread that we would lose, because I hate games where multiple records are on the line, away from home, against a team we are supposed to beat. That said, with a little urgency and getting forward quicker, with support, the game is there for the taking.
Will we take it? Not looking good so far.
COME ON, CITY!!!
