Match Thread - Chelsea V City (2nd leg FA Youth Cup)

I went last year, and sat in the home end, their support was a care in the community outing of old lags who probably only pay for youth games, its why I haven't bothered tonight.
Is it cockneys/mockneys in general? Arsenal/Spuds......They all just seem to have more than their fair share of pond life.

Chelsea are miles better than us. You could see that in the first leg. I think this team is to nice. No one wants to put a challenge in!!

I wonder if the City policy of playing many of the developing players in the next age group up has a negative impact here.

Chelsea develop winners as well as good footballers, we just develop the latter.

Our u18s and EDS remind me of the Arsenal team of the last 5 years or so. Lots of lovely patterns and nice tiki-taka capable players but no winners or leaders.

You can't get to the top without having both.

We can win domestic national titles because over the course of the season our quality should shine through, but as it has been shown in these youth cup finals of late and the UEFA Youth League knockout games, when it really matters we come up short.

As one poster put it earlier: City turned up for a kick-about, Chelsea came for a fight.

It's been said a few time but they are a clone of the first team. Take's us an age to create a decent chance with high possession based football and they go forward and create goal scoring opportunities at will.
