They're a decent side with a decent manager and they have had plenty of decent performances this season, so that they're giving us a game doesn't shock me.

It's probably the least amount of control in midfield we've had for ages though. Then again, neither do they. But it isn't like Pep to just get into a punch and counter-punch game and that's how it has ended up.

I think some fans need to accept if we’re going to keep Alvarez long term alongside Haaland then it’s going to involve playing them together even in some games when it’s not perfect.

I don’t think anyone has been to dramatic. Taking Alvarez off and bringing on say grealish seems pretty sensible to me.

Odd 1st half, we looked a bit out of sorts for much of that half. Alvarez not having a great match, perhaps sub with Grealish and play Jack centrally, he'll likely hold the ball better.
Haaland and his one on ones, got to score one soon surely

Still, we're level at the break and I'm sure Pep knows what to do to for the 2nd half

Best I've seen of Chelsea we have to rethink this in my opinion

They've underperformed their expected points FARR more than anyone else in the league. They're a good team and should be considering what they've spent.

What the shit was that pep? A team that wants to play on transition so we've instructed our entire midfield to vacate the area at every single opportunity and leave a fucking chasm in there. We are very very fortunate to be level after that, pen was very soft too, could easily be 2/3 down and game over. Truly awful.

Akanji doesn't need to be coming into midfield, the overload isn't neccesary anyway and he doesnt bring enough to the side to warrant it pulling Bernardo and rodri out of position.

Im sure Dias would be hauled off if we had an alternative, hes been abysmal both defensively and on the ball but seeing as we have no other option to change him no subs are neccesary.

Just switch to a standard back 4 and have an actual midfield presence, I'd also switch foden and doku, get doku at cucurella and he's a sending off waiting to happen.

We're losing this without a drastic change.

As well as Foden is playing, I’d be interested to see Doku up against Cucurella for 10–15 minutes. He’s on a yellow and Doku is a bag of tricks.
