Having spent time there, I can confirm the general pronunciation is correct, but you never hear the pause between Me and Lan has Trevor does.

Bizarre isn't it. Italians call the city Milano but the club ME-lan as it was founded by an English bloke, even though us English blokes call the place mi-LAN
