We are way too open but thats nothing new. It maybe works vs lesser quality sides that are really no better than the likes of Newcastle, Hull or maybe as strong as Plzen or CSKA at best. But Rome ripped apart CSKA 5-1 last round. So they are on another level easily and we just cant be this open or we wil face alaways conceding at least 2 goals per game.

Are good enough attacking wise to overcome this? Dont think so. Maybe in our top top form yes but we face some really good defences so its hard.

Said it few weeks ago but our usual, dominant PL style worth fuck all in CL and cant be played as other teams easily spot our weaknesses and punish us trough them. We need to change style/Formation for CL games and when we dont do it and face good opponents we rarely win.
Stick to it whatever the opponent as Pelle said is a great thing but will get us no further than occasional CL 1/8 finals.
And thats hardly a big thing for our squad. That is not much better than reaching League Cup semifinal. No one cares about who reached 1/8 finals last year or before that.

Hope in HT Pelle uses the break well, wakes up the team, tweaks the formation, but its not just formation its mentality, they seem more up to it than us and that cant be accepted.

There wil be a hell in Olimpico in the away game, they get back their injured star players, play with todays formation there and its 2-0 for them without question or 3-1.

3 points today is the most important otherwise its pretty much the Napoli situation again. A team with lesser squad but spot on tactics/mentality will advance...
