Get Milner and aguero on. Milner brings life to our attacks with his energy and runs. Silva looks better when Jimmy is making runs for him. Kun needs fitness and he is class.

Just like last year. Teams will have to get through the first 15-20 minutes where Liverpool comes out swinging. Do that and win. Most teams won't be able to though. They just go so hard from the beginning.
I was gonna say this.being up a goal before half time will play in our favour now though.

never was convinced about this 442, getting overrun too often.

This is how I feel too. 442 feels like a counter attacking formation but we don't have a counter attacking side on the pitch, we are playing too slow so the positive of having two strikers is cancelled out as we never get forward quick enough for them to be a danger. So we only really get the negative part of a 442 which is a 2 man midfield.

We either need more pace in attack so we can counter effectively or we need to drop a player in midfield to help build the attacks more patiently.

This game exactly shows why we need a winger with the quality to start and be in the 1st 11. I felt it at newcastle too, we were too slow in transition. After aguero we dont have any attacker with pace who automatically starts. Navas is good as an impact sub and against most teams, but as shown last season v chelsea and liverpool, not good enough to start the big games.

Hopefully the guys in charge will address this next window

An ok performance but Liverpool are making life very difficult for us.

I would take nasri off for fernandinho. Have 3 in the midfield, he'll bring drive inthe midfield and we wont be outnumbered. Silva and Jovetic on either flanks.
Nasri has lost the ball quite a bit today
