I don't actually think there is enough composure in the team to get away with playing some of these tactics...
The standout thing for me is that when city control the game its utterly comfortable for the opposition two gears below anything troublesome, yet when the other team control the play its panic stations. There is and has been for a long time a glaring sterility to the build up play, with time wasting, poor decision making, and poor finishing etc all contributing to flashy stats..alas with very little end product.
Instinctive attacking play is lacking...and in its place "by the numbers" passes even in positions where you would'nt expect it. KDB is the one player who doesn't fit with this, and is the one player who looks for that early incicive pass nobody else has picked up on. Silva used to do this regular, but i have to say i cannot remember the last time i rated him...i'm genuinely sad to say.
Silva only serves to slow things down to a crawl these days, despite clearly doing his best today.
