I really like where Pep is taking this team, he’s realised you need a certain type of pragmatism in this years prem & it does no harm to our CL chances either

Its nice to have some legs in there though mate. When they tire a bit in the 2nd half, I fancy Bernardo to get a bit more time on the ball. He seems to be the glue that is allowing Rodri and KDB to play their games.
I think the midfield 3 has a nice balence to it.
I agree, and it’s why it exposes the partnership of Rodri and Gundogan, I just love Bernardo further forward!

Yeah, it does make you wonder , how would they have liked it Trouble is you have rags and dippers commentating on rivals games and they shouldnt as they cant hide their feelings
Football lost all impartialilty long ago, but no one seems to see this as an issue.

Not as controlling as Marseille, but good enough, would be a different story we’re it not for Walkers goal though. need to be more decisive upfront as you can see a way back into this for Sheffield United. Torres has looked lively, sterling actually ran with the ball at players too which had become a rarity. Wouldn’t mind seeing mahrez upfront with sterling on the right and Torres on the left, there’s lots of space wide for pace if we play it right.

I’ve criticised Rodri heavily recently, all of it more than justified too but he’s playing well today, this is his bread and butter that’s usually reserved for Burnley.

Been saying this every game but it’s more of an issue today, why do we never have anybody protecting the keeper on corners? Ederson is mental, he could come and claim plenty of balls if he wasn’t blocked in.

I don’t actually think Mahrez has been bad at all. Generally, his ball retention has been excellent, he has skinned his opponent twice to get to the byline, he played a lovely pass to KDB on one counter than most players we have would have got wrong. He skied a shot, yeah. But I don’t see a horrific performance at all. And I don’t particularly like him either.

I agree not horrific, just think there's more pressure to deliver up front if his defensive input is going to be relatively weak. Reminds me of Martin Petrov the way he goes in for challenges.

Yes decent half there, pleased we were rewarded with a goal, and a great strike from the outstanding Kyle Walker!

Back four look good, Rodri won plenty of aerial duels in that first half and protected them well. Still not enough for me from Bernardo in that central role, wouldn’t be averse to Gundogan/Foden coming on later in the game and Bernardo moving out to the right.

Ferran looks like he's spent the last few days watching countless Aguero videos. Really improved his runs since midweek. Now just to finish one off.
I think it’s gonna be so good when we have a front 3 of Raz, Ferran and Jesus because they can all play across the front 3
