If he’s available fairly cheap then it’s a good deal. We know we want Bellingham, Gvardiol, plus a winger and full back too. And we also know we realistically need two midfielders, not just one. There’s only so far the budget can stretch, so opportunities such as this are hard to turn down.

I believe he's on a free? Extensive experience at the highest levels. Plays a 200 ft. game. I can't see how we could go wrong taking on an under 30 veteran like him as a depth piece.

The only downsides is age and injuries and to the lesser extent if he is keen on staying in England.

Just saw the links with him, he is a player whose playstyle I always thought woild suit us.

He wouldnt replace Gundogan as I dont find him a direct threat in passing or shooting positions but better in our 4 man box midfield deeper next to say Rodri. He could replace Bernie.

Id still want Bellingham in a slightly higher position for Gundogan.

Would love this, personally. Very tidy player. Technically skilled with a great passing range and a bit of a chip on his shoulder.

I think we're short a midfielder as is, even without accounting for expected departures. Kovacic on a cheaper deal to save cash for a splash signing would be great business imo

I mean most opposition players do. If you judge people on how well they play vs City, we will never sign anyone. I don't think Haaland scored against us too

He’ll have one year remaining on his contract this summer so we should be able to get him for a reasonable fee
