I thought that was Arsenal these days? At least, if you go by twitter, sorry, "X".He's already at the best team in the land and all the world though

Red card, I think
I think it's a little bit harsh to say we were reactive in a bad sense. Just because I do not believe it is by choice in any way. We signed one of our primary targets in Gvardiol for a good fee. Our other primary target in Belligham chose to bring his talents (which he has plenty of ffs) to Madrid. Can't really blame the lad. Thus, moving on to negotiations with next primary target in Rice. I assume he preferred the surefire role at Arsenal and the ability to stay in London. Fine. Then we moved to Paqueta which didn't work for obvious reasons. And now Nunes has popped up. Quite late yes but we're talking deals valued at hundreds of millions of dollars. I'm sure we just want to do our due-diligence and not be reactive by just putting pen to paper on the next bloke available. This feels like the most un-City like window in a long time. In fact, it’s almost like there’s been two windows in this one.
There was the pre-pre season window much of which was hampered by our late end to the season and treble celebrations. Then the pre-season window which has been skewed by the Saudi money and Chelsea deals.
You look at the very beginning of the window and there was value in the market. Kovacic was agreed, Bellingham, Tielemans, Maddison, Nkunku, MacAllistar, Szoboslai and Tonali all went for reasonable fees.
Then the Rice and Caicedo signings happened and now every Tom, Dick and Harry in the PL is valued at a minimum £60 million.
From the outside it does seem like the club has been very reactive as opposed to its usual proactive nature in the market. It feels like we allowed Gundog and Mahrez all the time in the world to dictate their next career move and missed out well valued replacements in the process.
No one is ignoring it. The get most right most of the time but saying base stuff like I'll go with pep on this one is ignoring the reasons people may differ and not want him...ar least come up with a counter argument of your own.The stock post these days is "Kalvin Phillips"
Let's ignore the 90% Pep and Txiki have got spot on.
But 60m does get you one of the best players in the world unless it's a release clause ( eg like Haaland)...so what I'm.saying is,that Pep calling him onecof the best players in the world is either disingenuous by Pep or really unhelpful in terms of negotiating a price for him as if he genuinely believes that, Wolves have got a stead fast reason to say "pay what we want as your manager on record said he is,one of the best in the world so pay what it takes to get a,player of that standing...."Each player has a different valuation, just because the money is there doesn't mean it has to be used. Also, getting Nunes for 60 and then getting Barco for example for 10-15m is better than spending 85 on Nunes and then having to find 10-15 for Barco.
I will call him lugs after his earsHe would definitely take the squad's handsomeness rating down a point.
Class of 22 in da house!
We've picked up some right whoppers over the last two or three years.
Must be long covid.
