I agree.....Denayer is already turning heads at Celtic and even scored after 3minutes in his first game for them....

Big problem is I cant see us getting a good fee for him. Italy clubs rarely pay big for a 21-22 year old defenders. Roma last year got Benatia for 12m€ after years of good performances at Udinese.

Would be surprised if we get only 10m fee for him from Juve maybe. It will be more like 10m in € best case scenario. I think he worth much more than that. He was not a better player two years ago when we bought him and cost us 12m pounds + Savic. (Who turned out good for Fiorentina and fix part of their defence maybe will move to a stronger club next 1-2 season and if he does he will go for around 8-10m pounds probably.)

Or we get a loan offer with option to buy but again for not a good fee. Cant see Spanish, French, German clubs coming in for him. In England there were rumours about Arsenal but cant see that, they just going to sign Manolas from Olympiakos, good CB, they already have Mertesacker, Koscielny as first choice and will have Chambers, Manolas as 3rd, 4th...

the way Juve are buying (and they are also linked to that greek defender) they have to sell someone, most likely Vidal. But it could be Pogba (very unlikely) and we could make it a part exchange or lay down terms for next year.

in any case, i'd be disappointed if we receive less than 15M pounds. Rodwell and Garcia deals have raised the expectation level

they aren't any use to us. We already have 4 strikers and 2 RBs. We also have 4 players for wide midfield.

and for a player of Nasty's potential, 4th choice isn't good enough. If he was 3rd i'd say keep him, but now that he is 4th choice, better cash him now than have his value drop.

When we swapped Savic he wasn't worth an awful lot, the fact that he's improved since (good on the lad) is neither here nor there in relation to the cost of Nastasic at the time.
As regards Nasty, he's worth £15 million all day long. Despite the abuse they got on here Rodwell and Garcia both went for what they were worth, not a penny more or a penny less.

If he's really as good as many here claim him to be, then someone will meet the asking price leaving others trampled in the rush.

Here we have a player supposedly of potential world quality, 21 years old, two years experience playing in the Premier League, Champions League, a title winner, & we are lucky if we get back what we paid for him. Just because he's not started games recently all the managers & scouts have forgotten him ?

Hmm.

( Savic is exactly the same player now as he was at City by the way. Slow, unpredictable & crap. He plays in Italy. Nastasic would be fine there & probably much better than him. )

Wenger should sign both, they are right up his street.
