Matija Nastasić

Right, so its not a question of choosing who can go is it, its a question of who will buy the players who are surplus to requirements. If A bid came in for Boyata Im sure he'd be on his bike as well.

Pellegrini said "Matija needs to play. We already have important players here with four full backs, Demichelis, Kompany, Mangala and Boyata, so we will see in the next few days what happens with Nastasic. He is an important player, but he has offers and I think the best thing for him is to play. We will see what happens, but we have until the end of August to see what kind of offers we get for Matija."

That sounds like we'd sell if the offer was right, but I don't think he'd be against a loan. Our best option would be a couple of million loan fee with him in a decent league, preferably in England, so we could see if he'd improve with a run of games. Demechelis is unlikely to be here next season and having the choice of Rekik, Denayer and Nastasic as back up to Mangala and Kompany would be ideal. As the oldest, it's Nastasic's last chance, but with last season ruined by initial poor form then injury, I'd like to see him have one last chance

Dont agree with this. Boyata is hugely important to the HG quote for the prem and CL, thats why he was offered a new contract.

I don't really know what your question is about tbh it just seemed bollocks. Are you saying that no one would have boyata?

Matija Nastasic leaving and Boyata staying is one of the most bizarre things i've ever heard.

There are so many holes in this home grown quota shite.
Nowt to do with the HG quota. Pellegrini just doesn't rate Nastasic.

You really think he rates Boyata over Nastasic?
He probably doesn't rate both of them. Unless we have an injury crisis I cant see a 4th choice centre back getting to many games. So you may as well sell the player who has the most value and also Boyata helps with HG quota.

Pretty sure Sagna can also cover at centre back.

Don't bite, if thereotically we had a bit of an injury crisis as we always seem to have, would you be able to place your faith in Boyata to cover? i thought by him staying it was solely to do with the HG quota. 5th possibly 6th choice yet earning a decent wage to fulfill that role. Never did I think he could actually be forced to play a part in some of our really important games, as every game for us these days is important.

I worried about the age and now I worry about Boyata's possible participation. Would be a bit risky throwing Sagna, Fernando or Yaya there, unless others have seen something I haven't when played out of position at CB.

I think it was more a statement to be honest although the 'bollocks' accusation is correct.

Yes, as long as he's alongside Demichelis or Kompany for guidance.
Both Sagna and Yaya have successfully played CB, Fernando I don't know if he's been tried but he's certainly physically suited to the role.

Nastasic is home grown this year as well so that is irrelevant. If we received £10m bids for both players I have enough confidence in Manuel to presume he would sell Boyata and keep Nastasic. However the reality is we need only one of these as cover and we are getting bids for only one of them as far as I am aware. Therefore he is likely to go and Boyata used as Carling cup/injury cover

You're talking bollocks I'm afraid. Nastasic is not HG and never will be, he's counted as U21 for this season only. Boyata however is and much more importantly is Club Trained. We need him for the CL squad since we literally have no one else to fill the role.
