I can't see him playing much this season, but at the same time I can't see any Italian club offering anything more than a loan fee with an option to buy

Ideally we'd sell or loan to a Premiership club. Unfortunate that he missed so much of last season which was a real opportunity to consolidate himself in the team.

Not sure, I thought one of our home trained 5 had to be club trained and even if we named less association trained one still had to be club trained.

Nastasic is home grown this year as well so that is irrelevant. If we received £10m bids for both players I have enough confidence in Manuel to presume he would sell Boyata and keep Nastasic. However the reality is we need only one of these as cover and we are getting bids for only one of them as far as I am aware. Therefore he is likely to go and Boyata used as Carling cup/injury cover

You're talking bollocks I'm afraid. Nastasic is not HG and never will be, he's counted as U21 for this season only. Boyata however is and much more importantly is Club Trained. We need him for the CL squad since we literally have no one else to fill the role.

Not sure if that's the case. As I understand it, we are limited to five HG, of which no more than four can be AT. Put it another way, if we were competing normally, we would have been permitted 4+4, but we didn't manage it last season due to a lack of CT, and we named a squad of 23 IIRC.
