Matija Nastasic

Thought he made a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes tonight, but other than that it was another impressive performance. Shows great composure and maturity for a 19 year old, and the way he's adapted to the Premier League so quickly is testament to his ability. Keeping Lescott out on merit, which is no mean feat. Going to be a vital player for us in the coming years.

If any young English player can string together 3-4 good games, or at least one against high profile opposition close to the time of voting they'll win it, Kyle Walker last season was a joke. TBH though I'm happy Nastasic is flying under the radar a bit. Let everyone underestimate him at their peril.
 
Quality player what a huge improvement on Savic! Lescott is great though and should be in around the aquad

There will be a few ropey peformances to come from Nastasic as he is still developing. However the early signs are that he starting to look like a very good player.
 
He is going to become an outstanding player, a massive edge of coolness and he's slotted into the team perfectly + he's only 19!!! Massive hopes for this lad, he will like Kompany be one of the countries best defenders hands down. Future captain??
 
He was the only signing we made in the summer that I had never heard of and he's turned out to be by far the best one.
Well done who ever at city was responsible for it.
 
He is an example of what good scouting gets for you, while Savic is the opposite. If your scouting system functions well you can find plenty of players like Nastasic instead of paying £25million for today's big thing.

To be fair to Savic he just didn't fit it in the English style of play. He is still young enough to develop into good CB.

His old manager is a very good friend of Mancini, it may have something to do with it.
