Haven't seen much of the German league.

I like how he passes forward and certainly some good passes there. What this won't show is how many are intercepted

At least he wont pass to hart as an auto-pilot response like Lescott does! Is anyone else fed up of that scenario too?

It always hits a nerve when he does that, havent seen a more unsure ball player in my life.
I would say 99% of his passes are backwards or sideways, although his passing ability his improved immensely this season, as has Nigel´s and Gaz baz.

This and his tendency to make some huge mistakes in important games are the reason i don't think he is champions league quality. Even thou stats are backing him up as a top class CB i just cant overlook his flaws..

Feel you are really harsh on Lescott, great season one mistake and you are all over it.

Well I don't see him going anywhere for a while. At least not cheaply.

He just signed a new contract keeping him at Dortmund until 2017

I count one this season…

Because he had a dodgy first few months, some people seem to use this a legitimate excuse to use Joleon as a scapegoat. Despite the fact he has been nothing short of excellent since then.

As for the passing back thing, surely the first instruction our team is given is to keep possession. He does that. He knows he isn't able to make that killer pass, so passes it on to the safe option.

Its seems a standard tactic of City, (and even England yesterday!), was Lescott passes back to Hart who hoofs it upfield and then we likely lose possession.

I'm sure he'll become a world class player, but do we need that style of player? We're usually so dominant that we're at our weakest on the break. Don't we need a pacy CB such as Thiago Silva or Chiellini who are a presence in attack and defence?
Obviously if we sign Falcao, Hummels could just hang back.

The new contract he signed probably means Dortmund improved their wage offer so any possibility of him coming to Manchester or Trafford is probably a non-starter now for a few years.

How can you slate Lescott? He's had a fine season and won the league with us.
