Matthijs de Ligt

His agent is mentioned is due to the fact , that if he signs - will ask for a move within 3-4 years. If he performs well and as expected - he would deserve a price rise as well.

Agent fees are Standard , and everyone pays it including city .

This exactly. From a player's perspective I don't think we have a problem with that. Khladoon mentioned in his interview that we're willing to reward players with extensions and pay raises even a year after signing if they've earned it - as we've already done with the likes of Bernardo, Ederson, etc. But Raiola would love for him to go somewhere other than Barca because then he can use them again in 3-4 years either for another move or a big pay raise at the club that gets him now.

You can see it coming a mile away, same with Mbappe going to PSG at 19 when he supposedly dreams of playing for Madrid. These players know they can make multiple moves because they're rated higher than 99.9% of 19 year old talents before them.

3-4 years? His new club will be lucky to get away with one bollocks-free summer.

Verratti's been at PSG for what, 9 years now? He's not forcing any moves away, there was talk for 1 summer but it went away.

Raiola isn't even the kid's agent, he's just been brought in to facilitate this move because his Dutch agent is a bit out of his depth.

Would not touch him ourself for his agent. Get nmaguire in - will do great for us.

Would you say same about city too ? City also doesn't let go of the best ones..

If a player goes to Pep and tells them they want to leave, he will find an exit for them if there are irreconcilable differences etc - no one will be held ransom to the terms of the contract. They will ensure getting fair market value but they will not force a player to stay

And yet, PSG is selling ton of players due to FFP.
Meaning it is not a gulag.
Players have contracts and no big team in the world wants their best players to leave. As simple as that.

Lately, Sergio Ramos wanted out. Real Madrid scrambled a press conference to say he is going nowhere.

If you go after PSG best players, they will say no.
If you go after non essential players, PSG will say yes. Meunier, for example, is in the market. And he keeps saying he would love to renew but PSG is not offering him a new contract.
Lo Celso wanted out, PSG even loaned him to Betis. Guedes wanted to go to Valence ? He got his move to Valence.
Hazard or Courtois wanted to go to Madrid, they had to wait their last year of contract for Chelsea to accept.

You are just unhappy because your club wanted Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Verratti and PSG said niet.

Nice try but once again, a whitewash of the real story at PSG

Being forced to sell due to FFP does not exclude them from being a gulag because at the end of the day, the Qataris decide when they move players as I have already pointed out. No big club forces players to stay if they want out.

Since you already seem to fail to understand basic statistics, you should at least make similar comparisons - Sergio Ramos? 14 seasons at RM, willingly - now looking to go out to China for the big payday like many in the twilight of their career. Plus, Ramos wanted to go for free - hardly the equivalent of being prevented from leaving. Get a grip.

Guedes was a non-essential asset for PSG and was ultimately sold precisely because of FFP on top of the fact that Los Che had been following the player for years. Lo Celso wanted out because he was deemed surplus by Tuchel, not because he wasn't playing - again a poor example. Try using actual examples of key players who are not at the end of their careers who want out and cannot get out. Ask Matuidi how hard he had to push to get out. Verratti, Silva, Ben Arfa, Rabiot, Marquinhos - of those, incidentally, I only was interested in Verratti for Barcelona. Initially anyway, because I can see he too lacks the profile of a player who will continue to get better. There's a big reason why PSG has flattered to deceive

Now the rumours are that Neymar wants out never mind Mbappe, good luck with that
