Matthijs de Ligt

He was out for a sometime this season, due to injury, I still prefer him over the slow lumpy De Light
De Ligt isn't slow. Neither is Laporte by the way. I don't know why these guys get this labels.

Also Mouctar isn't particularly fast either. He is imposing, but not fast.

I personally think Sandler will be the truth in a year or 2 so not too worried about De Light. Neither am I interested in Mouctar.

This player is so good. Will be one of the best in this generations. There are a lot of talents coming from that young Ajax side as always.

Injured stretching for a ball. Just can't hope in vein he makes it through without I jury, time to retire from international or he leaves Pep no option to spend again.

According to Transfermarkt, Stones missed 18 games and Kompany missed 22 due to injury last season. Think we might be fucked in the CB position come August.

Even if Vinnie does retire from international football, he still gets injured at City as well.

Only due to attachment have I been happy for him to stay in the team. Head gave up on him long back.

Surprised Pep hasn't been ruthless on this one tbh. Maybe because of Vinnie's presence and mentality. I suspect this patience won't last long though. Shame these issues have been happening to a player of his level.

Don't think so. Stonesy was just a little unlucky with injuries last campaign. Hamstring injuries happen to everyone and he missed a lot of games because it was over the christmas period. Similarly concussion is concussion, nothing you can do to prevent it and it has a standard recovery protocol if I'm not mistaken.

Plus we have two very good cbs in Laporte and Otamendi, and two perfectly capable makeshift centre halves in Walker and Danilo. Even if Stones and Vinnie had similar amounts of time out to this year I think we'd be okay.

Thats not to say I don't think this transfer would be a good piece of business though, just gives us a couple of problems in squad selection.

There's no need to go into the market, we have Ota, Laporte & Stones, Walker or Danilo can even play there if we're stretched, i feel for Vinnie but he should have retired ages ago n concentrated on his City career.

What about when we need a CB next summer? Just get the phenom and have CB set for a 6-10 years.
