We don't really know much about them, then they come here and are awesome. Bet you this lad turns out to be our best midfielder, you can just see it coming.

Not sure about that one, he was brilliant for Lyon in the Champions League.

Yeah but for some people if they dont play in the premiership they dont exist (NOT directed at you Damocles).

Some people are perfectly happy knowing about english football or even just City, so they would never have heard of Essien before he came to England.

No probs mate, I'm not ashamed to say that I didn't know Essien before he came here. I don't watch a lot of French football, and only really watch the CL if it's involving English teams that I don't despise, or Milan.

I watch a lot of Italian to be honest, and always make a point of catching at least one game from Argentina a week. See a little Spanish too, though it's mainly on in the background.
