That WORLD FAMOUS brazilian regular Elan that west ham just signed has played 3 times for brazil!!...what a load of bollocks this work permit crap is
Indeed, the rags got a permit for Anderson on the basis of "exceptional young talent" - we're still waiting to find out what his talent is because it ain't footie.

Also remember the Angolan Manucho that the rags eventually got a permit for? Angola are ranked down in the 90s like Kenya.

He's played 24 times for the Kenyan team in just 3 years. He's going straight into our first team squad, and the fee should help justify our claims that he's a special talent.

What a farce. Hope we can successfully appeal. That lad over the road, Mame Diouf, followed similar path into Scandinavia and has much fewer Intl. Caps.

Thought they could lodge the paperwork with fa "Subject to work permit"

If we get at appeal we sign, if not we dont, what the rags always seem to do ?

Yes, but Ferguson went in front of the Home Office and pulled the "I'm a Knight of the Realm" card on them.

A lot of work permits only go through on appeal, it's an expected part of the process in most cases.

IIRC the exceptional talent rules can't be used until the appeal, so I wouldn't be ruling out this signing just yet.
