McClaren Sacked Official - Benitez takes over 3 yr contract

Imagine for one second us behaving like Newcastle have done over this.

Football is cut throat and he probably needed to go but fuck me, they have not only negotiated with Rafa whilst he was still in charge, they have basically made him sweat right up to the point he has agreed to come in.

Im certain the managers union will have something to say and rightly so but what else do you expect from a club owned by a man who loves to employ folk on minimum wage in sweatshop conditions.

The lack of outrage in the media is probably because they are owned by an Englishman who earned his money by giving his workers zero hours contracts, and not a filthy foreigner polluting the game with dirty oil money.

I think he's a good manager. Always done pretty well wherever he's gone, won a lot of silverware too. Their best manager since Bobby Robson potentially. If he can keep them up which I'm sure he is capable he may be able to win them a domestic medal in a season or two. They have some good players there but it's horribly unbalanced. If Ashley gives him some backing it will be a decent appointment. They need a bit of stability really the revolving door never works. They've made mistakes firing keegan, Robson & Hughton in the past
