I don't know if this has been posted on the thread, but an agent was on Talksport yesterday, the H & J show when he was asked what he thought of Toures 200k a week deal. The agent replied this was utter bollocks, in as many words, he knew it was half of that and also, his words, City were now cute in the transfer dealings and won't be taken for a ride.

H & J were taken aback and moved swiftly on!!

19.5m and 100k per week for a great player, not bad i say

Would love nothing more than to see this c**t get sued.

Thing is, that one story has got legs. I have had 3 different non-City fans tell me we are ruining the game because of it, also seen loads of tweets about it. Check this search of discussion groups, and you'll see how much it has spread.

Just goes to show the power of the press I suppose , "the pen is mightier than the sword " as they say.They know that they can print any old bollocks and there will always be a certain amount of people who will believe it's true.So called newspapers ,such as The Sun and The Mirror , along with Radio and TV stations such as Talksport and Sky Sports News are responsible for passing gossip,rumour and invention off as news and people swallow what they say without a second thought.

I heard this as well, The agent really seemed to know what he was talking about & made out city knew exactly what they were doing & would not be pissed around by anyone,
As detailed above & needless to say Talk Shite chose to completley ignore the agent & carried on blaming city for more or less everything thats wrong with football.
unfortunatly I didnt catch the agents name but no doubt he will never be invited on Talk Shite again as the truth can often spoil a really good story.

This kind of detail is always kept confidential these days. Even if TNOW have a "source" they have no way of validating what they're being told. On the other hand, MCFC can't sue without revealing the true details, which would be a breach of confidentiality.

So TNOW feel free to print whatever they like, and MCFC maintain a dignified silence.

Four letters, NOTW, says all you need to know, it's bad enough having a cheeky read of such drivel, but then to publically admit it and create a thread just makes you a real pleb, having said that I have just wasted about five mins reading the reaction and posting myself so I also feel a little silly but I won't, can't, feel as silly as the guy who started this idiocy!

Hate to a protaginist ...but the reality is if city want to sit at the top table they must have certain attractive qualities...

a certain style of play
a manager who wins
success
set up
but more and more important for todays players...MONEY


the fact is at this stage in their development ...city can only offer the latter...

if toure/tevez/etc...were all offered the same financial incentives by Madrid, United, Barca ..etc...they would go there...
