a certain style of play
a manager who wins
success
set up
but more and more important for todays players...MONEY


the fact is at this stage in their development ...city can only offer the latter...

if toure/tevez/etc...were all offered the same financial incentives by Madrid, United, Barca ..etc...they would go there...

How many Real Madrid players have chosen to come to your club, Mr Rag?
Not as many as have gone FROM the swamp eh?

mickey owen , Pique form Barca, ..but youre missing the pointtop players or players with great potential dont come to United for the cash , they could get better deals elsewhere...they come for the other reasons I stated.

How many Real Madrid players have chosen to come to your club, Mr Rag?
Not as many as have gone FROM the swamp eh?

1) we can play attractive football and we have done.
2) Our manager has won trophies.
3) we have won trophies in our history just not as many as Liverpool or Man U, yet our longest barren spell is shorter than yours and you had to raise funds through a stock market flotation and then selling your soul to sky sports to fund your period of dominance.
4) we have a set-up to rival any of yours, not global appeal, but I don't get your point, the training facilities and academy are there.
5) yeah we have money, the same that you had when you won trophies.

Problem is for you you can't afford anybody, so it shows history is nothing, it's always been money that's the driving force behind players moving, so get your head out of your arse and except you're a nothing club without all that money you've used to outmuscle everyone else in the last 20 years.

Owen, Directly? Maybe more players are coming to City (or going elsewhere from the rags) as they are aware of the unsustainable debt your club are in. Keep paying the interest and let us know how Sir Malc is going to reduce the balance.

obviously doesn't matter to them or they'd have stay...actually no, seeing as you've run out of money and are down the shitter and won't win anything anymore.

Ronaldo went for more money and the fact that Madrid are a bigger club and have a better history than you, how does that feel? Carling Cup heal those wounds?

I'll agree with you, on success, and partly on style of play. However I completely disagree on the other two points, the set up at City is excellent, and is getting better with the investment being made behind the scenes. And as for a manager who wins, well I suppose to some winning 4 Italian Cups with 3 different sides, and 3 Seria A titles in a row, isn't winning anything, but then again to some Anderson is World Class......

City can offer money, they can off a fantastic set up, and they can offer a manager with a track record of winning trophies. We can also offer what many can't, superb FUTURE prospects. Footballers want to win, they want trophies, City are clearly building towards that, and it won't be long before we've got a squad that can win, potentially this season. As Liverpool are proving, having a track record as a club of winning trophies is of little use when your future prospects are bleak. United's financial shackles will hinder them as well.
