City are probably treating it with the contempt it deserves and ignoring it. It's the NOTW for God's sake!
If there are some inaccuracies in the media, unless it's actually damaging to the club, why should City bother taking action?
To be honest, huge media coverage to spread the word will be an integral part of "The Project".

not in my eyes dave, i got into a bit of trouble during the 80s, i got dragged through the mire by certain newspapers, spouting off only half a story, so i have probably a very biased opinion of newspapers, but with good reason, i mean what the fk as it got to do with them what toure earns, how about them putting their total earnings in the papers, when you buy their shit they get paid, so the only time i read any articles are when they are put on here,this site is my newspaper full stop?

To all the posters saying, " maybe it's true", I think that it's been proven that he is not a Barcelona reject that played in 16 games in all competions and had his medical in Manchester. So, it definately isn't true.

Thing is, that one story has got legs. I have had 3 different non-City fans tell me we are ruining the game because of it, also seen loads of tweets about it. Check this search of discussion groups, and you'll see how much it has spread.
