PB don't want to get involved in the argument other than to say I think there are times when moving an EDS matter into the main forum is a good idea, not least to help promote the club.Thats why I put it on,I cant go myself but have found out so many things on this site from posters doing similar.

Just think it needs to be as visible as possible and then moved back after the game starts.
I didn't move it but I take your point, which is well made and reasonable, unlike the other complaints, which are aggressive and confrontational. We've always considered and acted on reasonable requests where we think it's helpful. But sarcasm & calling us "anal" and "jobsworths" isn't going to help your cause.

I've just looked at the City website and there's nothing I can see in the obvious places, including match info for this game, that talks about tickets or how to get them. No doubt those of you wetting your nappies over an EDS topic being in the EDS thread have made equally aggressive complaints to the club?

Thought not.

Actually, Doug has been in touch several times about the how they're shite with dealing with things like that and I have been too and received an apology as well. Many have on twitter as well.... i'm not wetting my nappy, i just think its fucking naff how the club and the main forum treat the club's future so arrogantly.

Regardless of that the chosen stance is weird - cos the City website is naff at it you're choosing to be naff at it as well? Doesn't even make sense that.

Anyway - the club have mentioned it on twitter a couple of times including yesterday.

Tickets are available as normal on the site

ps - i agree about language chosen and i offer an apology. Sorry about that. Just frustration as it feel the kids youth deserve promotion. The one in the main forum though was totally fair as i wrote nothing wrong and it is a little frustrating when the responses back are boring stuff along the lines of duplicate posts and stuff - its robotic.

Dunno about you lot...but when I browse this forum I always use 'view active topics' which shows the latest posts from all the forums...so it makes no difference what forum it is in

I don't do that personally. Reckon most don't too.

I think you'll find that most do as it's the easiest way to follow popular and current threads over the different forums and sub-forums. And the apology is appreciated.

Never noticed the view active topics thing ! Might have a look next time.

Ah i don't use it as i find 90% of the cellar stuff and most of the transfer related stuff really annoying in general. I guess that's just me.

What is the point, of somebody going to the trouble of posting a reminder to those who may not have looked on the academy thread, that there is a game, then having his post put in a thread about the game ? Obviously the thread already knows!

Why ?

What harm did it do ? If nobody is interested it will disappear. If a few notice, they may go to a game they would have missed.

Recently, we were all discussing an academy game in here, and the fucking thread disappeared. Once it had become completely useless to know, I found out that the whole thread had been moved at the time, to the matchday forum, so when it got near kick off, all the discussion we had been having here, became a waste of time.

Unless something desperately needs moderating, why don't you just leave it alone ?

They've got their very own forum, just how much more promotion do you think they could get? It can't get lost on post match days when all the muppets start their own [fill in the name of any player] is shit thread.

The people who run this site see the traffic numbers

Would it hurt to be in both here and main forum.

I visit daily and only found out about this on the City vs Hull thread on there.

Surely it can't hurt to promote this and every other EDS game?
It would get lost in the main forum, if you visit daily how is it any more difficult to visit this forum then the main one?
Would you like all of the cellar duplicated in the main thread just so you don't miss anything?

Seriously, all you had to do is think about your question first and then you wouldn't have had to ask it on here.

Sorry, I normally just visit the main Bluemoon & General forum. I have things to do sometimes.

I guess there's very little arguement to be had. I think attendance and awareness of this game would be raised if it were on the more popular area.

It's not 'anymore difficult' it's just not my priority I guess this isn't an issue. I just think a topic based around a game, a game that some of us with a job hadn't known about till reading on another thread would benefit from more exposure. I'm sure such topics as City's tallest vs City's shortest and other such brilliance are far more important.

Put it this way, I'll be going Saturday, thanks to reading about it on the Bluemoon section. You know the one at the top of selection options on my iPad.

You need to remember that everyone doesn't visit every avenue of this site.

I'd be interested City eds vs Shalke was on the Bluemoon forum, this wasn't, which will have a higher attendance, which topic had more views, replies?
