i may watch top gear after seeing this team. only joking but it is going to be shite, do we not want to win this or something?

Giving Tutte, Mee, Kay etc. first-team experience > winning the Barclays Challenge or whatever it is. Isn't that part of the point of pre-season?

We will not win with that team. Think about it this way, head out to America and win, lots of people will want to support a winning team. Play some younger players for "experience" and lose?

City team for tonight

Hart, Bridge, Boyata, Onuoha, Ireland (c), Tutte, Mee, Kay, Nimely, Adebayor, Jo

Subs: Zabaleta, A. Johnson, Taylor, Lescott, K. Toure, Bellamy, Cunningham

Pretty much as I expected, looking forward to seeing how some of the young lads handle themselves. The academy lads are on the O/S with an 8-0 victory. Did anyone really expect these lads not to get a game ? The Spurs v Sporting game was the final anyway.

I doubt it, they'll support us if we win the Premier League, not a nothing friendly against an local side.

Looking forward to seeing Nimely and How Ade looks, also Ireland looked decent enough against Lisbon putting through passes.

Where's Guidetti at then? would have loved to see him get some propper game time.

Came on against Sporting on Friday night, must be the other lads turn allthough Cunningham and Nimely both got a look in on friday too

What do we reckon the formation will be then? I think maybe something like this...

--------------------------Hart---------------------------
----Onuoha--------Mee------------Boyata-------Bridge---
---------------Tutte-------------------Kay---------------
-------------------------Ireland--------------------------
---------Nimely-------------------------------Jo----------
------------------------Adebayor-------------------------

Just a guess really, could be anything at this experimental stage of the season.

You're right. Must win games in the league is when we should try our youth. Not some pointless tourney.

Looks about right except Mee will be the left of the 2 CBs
