Im going to try and be as objective as I can

but for me not one of the academy players showed they have what it takes to break into our PL first team

I dont care that we lost today or lost on Friday - dosnt matter and I know its only 3 games (including the timbers) but given the opposition for 2 of those, for me, not one of our academy guys stood out and that includes Nimely who did ok tonight but thats all - dont think they'll be giving any premier league defenders sleepless nights

Way too many overreations IMO. 90% of the players won't be ideal first team starters.

No Mancini didn't change it to chase the game, because it's a FRIENDLY. He was more interested in seeing people perform in certain positions than going gung ho for a pointless draw

Im not arsed if we lose the fucking game by double figures... I just wish we could put some effort in to at least try and attack. Not stick every player on the field behind the ball and try and defend for 90+ mins.

I feel sorry for the fans who paid thousands to go and cheer the lads on that field who simply take it as a 90 mins jogging session. Its not the losses that bother me, just the lack of effort... seems pretty selfish to go all that way, have fans cough up to go see them and they go over there with the "Oh, its only a pre-season game" attitude.

the result on the pitch , not a big deal. Its off the pitch that matters for this tour

i realise the result means fuck all but didn't we go to america to make some kind of impression football-wise? this is an embarassment and what is most galling of all is that stretford would've won 4-0 with their third team out. why can't we do the same? long way to go imho.
