Quite frankly, that line-up may not be creative enough to win. As he only played 25 minutes at Blackpool, I would prefer Silva to start with Jo and Tevez on the bench. Vieira (note the spelling,FU) will defo start as the slower pace will suit him. Would the Toures Bros be available for the bench? With Kompany and Zaba there too, it will be one helluva bench.

FFS that's Vieira spelt wrong in two out of three posts. Get a grip, guys...and surely Vincent Kompany deserves a rest before the big game on Sunday?

Are you guys giving Lech any chance of springing a surprise?

Here is my Polish perspective: <a class="postlink" href="http://polishsoccer.net/2010_10_21_mancity_lech.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://polishsoccer.net/2010_10_21_mancity_lech.htm</a>

Lech Poznan will take on English side Manchester City FC on Thursday in their Europa League Group A encounter. Worryingly Lech's form in the Ekstraklasa has been nothing like it has been in the Europa League. They have now lost three in a row in the Polish League and scored only one goal in those matches.

We will have to hope the Poznan team that has scored five goals in two matches in the Europa League is the one that shows up on Thursday night. Artjoms Rudņevs also needs to rediscover his scoring touch. Although he is still Lech's top scorer with 7 goals in all competitions his last was the hat-trick against Juventus on September 16th.

It is possible that Roberto Mancini will decide to give a rest to several of the key players that have taken Man City to second in the Premier League. Chief among those would be Carlos Tévez who in eight games in the EPL has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists.

Poznan fans can also look back at the last time a Polish club came up against Manchester City. Seven years ago Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski eliminated the English club from the UEFA Cup. Although this was in an era before City were swimming in money like they are now the team still boasted the likes of David Seaman, Shaun Wright-Philips, Steve McManaman, Nicolas Anelka and Robbie Fowler. That side was managed by Kevin Keegan.

Chances are very small that Lech will come away with anything but a loss, but I'm sure we were all thinking the same thing before the Juventus match.

You can basically see that Mancini wants our forwards playing just 2 of the 3 games each.

Tevez: Blackpool and Arsenal
Silva: Lech and Arsenal
Adebayor: Blackpool and Lech

------------Given---------------

Richards - Boyata - Kompany - Bridge

Johnson - Vieira - Zabaleta - SWP

-----------Silva------------------

---------- Adebayor --------------

--------------Hart-------------
Richards--Boyata--Lescott--Zab
AJ-----Vieira----Barry----SWP
-------------Jo------------
-------------Ade-----------

Got a feeling it'll be something like that.
