Media bias against City

Apart from it being fairly common knowledge anyway, a friend of mine knows the Taylor family well. He assures me they are all rags including Anthony. In order not be prevented from refereeing rag games he claims to be an Altrincham fan (as all people from Wythenshawe are of course) and even goes as far as investing in an Altrincham season ticket to 'prove' this but unsurprisingly isn't seen at Moss Lane very often.

Likewise I've spoken to a couple of people who know Mason and independently confirm that his entire family are rags but he claims to support Bolton so he too won't get shut out of refereeing the rags.

If you never saw Peter Walton refereeing a City game then frankly you're flogging a dead horse with your anti agenda line. Walton mainly refereed City against Everton and Liverpool for reasons I've never been able to fathom and he was the most bent referee I've ever seen. There are plenty of specific examples of his corrupt refereeing that will take up too much space on this post but will be verified by any number of Blues on BM who also saw him in action but his regular habit all game every game was to routinely give the opposition soft free kicks in dangerous areas just outside the box, play on when a City player was clearly fouled in a dangerous area and break up City attacks by giving the opposition free kicks for the slightest physical contact or just tussling for the ball. Amid persistent stories of a dossier being presented to the Premier League Walton suddenly and unexpectedly resigned mid season and moved to the USA. (I recall PB had some info on this). I've been watching City since 1959 and have seen many a woeful refereeing performance but Walton was beyond woeful. He was bent as a nine bob note.
Walton was the biggest cheat i ave ever seen, some of the blatant goal kicks he gave as corners were a farce, the ****

How is it possible that someone that registers in 2008 - you Frank - never saw Walton ref., nor knows what happened to him, nor how what happened to him came to pass? Odd.

Never saw that Wlaton but how did he compare with the likes of Oliver and Clattenberk?
Walton was blatant in his cheating. You really need to be more synde.
How he managed to be in charge of City games v Scousers is beyond me.
Barry had studs raked down the back of his legs once and a foul (actually a straight red) was not given even though you could see the stud marks. Then their was the Karate kick in the back of a City player (Dzeko or Silva?) right in front of Walton that should have been a straight red too.

Just outside and to the side of Liverpool's penalty area Barry had the ball when Mascherano went straight through the back of him. As you say, a straight red all day long but Walton waved play on. Walton reffed the previous home game against Everton (in itself a bizarre coincidence) and in the exact same spot Barry made a clean as a whistle challenge on an Everton player but Walton gave a free kick from which Everton scored.

Skrtl made the flying karate kick on Jo and raked his studs all down his back but Walton didn't show him a red card. On the other hand he sent Zaba off for two very soft yellows and Liverpool came back from 2-0 down to beat 10 man City 3-2 in the last minute.

City didn't win a game reffed by Walton between 2006 and his 'retirement' in 2012. (His last game was an Everton win). It was only after he fucked off to the USA City started beating Everton. Oliver and Clattenburg have never come close to Walton.

Well I could have claimed I remember his decisions and disputed the story but I am not like that. I genuinely cannot remember him so have not disputed it.

Surely even if I was a rag since 2008 I would still remember him?

Good memory laser blue. I remember the game Garrido scored a scorcher of a free kick at the South stand end.

I’ve posted this before but as the thread has moved on to referees I’ll repeat it now..

This season (2014/2015) City were awarded fewest free kicks in the Premier League and the final figure was lower than any team in the 5 main European leagues. What’s more it wasn’t even marginal and the average number of free kicks awarded per team was nearly 40% higher.

As for our main rivals:

Rags – 32% more free kicks

Arsenal – 40% more

Chelsea – 45% more

Liverpool – 56% more.

So I looked back to 2013/2014 and guess what – the same story. We were awarded fewest free kicks.

Is this something to do with how we play under Pellegrini? So I looked back to Mancini’s last season 2012/2013 and guess what – almost the same story and we were awarded the 2nd fewest free kicks.

I can’t think of any reason why this should be. Something stinks.

I shit you not, it was the 6-1. I will be banging this drum until the day I die I'm that bloody sure of it. Pre 6-1 we were just any other potential upstarts, post 6-1 there was a genuine worry that we could dominate English football like no side ever had. It's been an uphill struggle ever since. And that's just on the pitch! We've been getting it off the pitch thanks to FFP. I can only imagine where we'd be without either.

Lucky there is no agenda then or we would really be in trouble.
Not knowing the Walton history is very suspect.
