I logged on to the Telegraph football page at lunchtime and it contained the following number of articles for each topic:

United: 6
Chelsea: 4
Arsenal: 3
Ex United players: 3
Liverpool: 1
City: 0

Mail online app, we are the 28th story down. Id normally revel in scums discomfort but do we really rank below 19 utd stories 2 on fury a flurry of chavs and arse and some woman called rousey?

I noticed that this morning (like you, I only downloaded for Martin Samuel's contributions. Godawful paper, otherwise). What I will say, is if the shoe were on the other foot and there were 16 or 17 different stories on our demise, we'd be throwing our toys out of the pram, too.

Try reading the Guardian write up by Jamie Jackson. It ends at the 65 th minute.

Another App that I have and by God, that was a weird match report. He actually glossed over the thrilling three-goals-in-five-minutes comeback and went about bemoaning our first half performance.
He has form for this, though. I remember when we beat Norwich 7-0, a couple of years ago and he actually shoehorned mention of Utd into his report three times. It was almost like our seven goals were an inconvenience to him!
They're not all biased but JJ is atrociously so. It's astonishing that the editorial team seem to rate him and one or two others higher than Barney Ronay in the pecking order. Anyone who knows anything about writing would tell you that Ronay is simply better than anyone else the Guardian have got, covering football. He's just better; there's no argument. (And no, I'm not his father).

It's not so much a bias,it's more them catering to their readership, bit like when sky/bt suck up to the rags as the majority of their subscriptions will be from rags, and of course when you throw in the odd bit of city bashing it helps appease the masses...

I noticed that about the Jamie Jackson excuse for a match report, pitiful effort, glad I don't spend any money on that rag

Also listened to talk shite this morning for the first time in years to enjoy the rags throwing their divine right out of the pram, and the only clip they played from pellegrini's moment of qualifying joy was his opinion on the rags going out.

Next time I listen will be to wallow in their failure when they get knocked out of the europa

Not so much media bias, but itv highlights tonight the presenter introducing Wolfsburg/utd said a youthful looking Utd side when showing the team line ups,wtf they had three young inexperienced players on last night the way he mentioned it you would have thought it was the full eleven...

I cannot understand the BT coverage of us. It does not make sense. The only people watching our match last night are likely to be City fans. Why piss us off with the negative shite we had to put up with.
Watched the BT highlights show after our match.Gary Lineker and a panel of 3,with us and the scum having played you'd guess the panel would maybe be 3 neutrals(possible),1 ex player each and a neutral(not unreasonable),2 ex Utd 1 city(bit unfair but could live with it),but no 3 ex scum and no city a absolute fuckin disgrace.

Never ever listern to the pre/half time/full time talk, try and watch a live game with a foreign stream, trust me its bliss.

For a highlights show record it and watch it on delay cutting the tossers out.

Who were the three on BT?
BBC/MUTV Breakfast showed interviews with three out of four of the English clubs. Only what I expect from BBC/MUTV these days.

Totally agree. We watched it on Fox Sports 2 on Tuesday and it was bliss compared to the shite they usually come out with.

Jamie Jackson did the pre-match piece for the min-by-min and said we got beat by Stoke at the weekend. His report also mentions that defeat a further two times. Did we get beat by Stoke?

I particularly enjoyed his article about United being relaxed about going out of the competition. Part of his argument was that if they did go out then they would save money by not having to pay players for actually playing football. He also said they are not worried as the Addidas deal gives them £750m guaranteed. The guaranteed claim is interesting as that must be the base figure that they get. This contrasts to their contract last year where they were due to get a big reduction if they did not qualify for the Champions League two years running. Very little was made of this point in the press.

That was one of many puff pieces from Jackson, straight from the press release!

He's misrepresenting things a bit, but the 2-year absence thing was mentioned at the time. How likely is it to happen in reality? It really only seems plausible if England loses a CL place, or if they appoint someone as amusing as Moyes/van Gaal as the next manager.

The two year clause was not given as much attention as it could have been. if it was us then I am sure it would have been given more prominence. If Liverpool had kept the fella with the teeth then fourth place for United last year would have been tricky.

BBC news this morning said it was a great night for London last night in the Champs league in stark contrast to the night endured by "Manchester" on Tuesday night. Really??? I thought Tuesday night was great.

Fucking shameful thing for a football journalist to write. Someone paid money to report on the game penning such a thing could only do so if his mind was utterly warped towards the game, completely beyond redemption.

He is basically mocking Rag fans whilst he gets paid to laugh at them. It must be a sad time to be a Rag when some of us 'bitters' are in some way feeling sorry for their seemingly endless misery. Patronising them is becoming a strangely satisfying habit. Oh the Karma...

The guardian champs league review......we are mentioned twice. Once in regards to Negredo as a former player of Manchester City in a piece about Gary Neville and once in they're listing of who finished first/second in their groups. Other than that you would never know we even played. No mention in their list of "for further reading" articles, nothing.

just swap Manchester/Trafford for arse/elbow and you have your answer
