Media bias against City

Aguero rescues Blues from yet another dramatic home loss!

Blues forced to rely on Aguero to save them yet again!

Without Aguero, the Billionaires in Blue wouldn't have even beaten the bottom team in the Premier League!

McLaren's first ever victory over City spoiled by Mitrovic's game-changing poor finishing!

Endless supply....!

If you hadn't followed the game v Newcastle, you'd think City had been on the ropes the whole first half, and not had several decent chances themselves, but listening to the pundits, and reading the match reports, Newcastle should've been 3-0 up at half time....!

hmmm a lot of what he said was actually correct. We were in a mess before they scored, Hart did make a save to stop it being 0-2. A lot of what else he said just smelled of the usual man city envy though

He did say, we could have been 4 - 1 down if they'd taken their chances.
What about ours. The bagatelle with Aguero and Fernando for instance.
Surely that counts as a chance. If Silva hadn't got so much boot on his lob.
It's all ifs, buts and aunties bollox. Fucking so biased it's untrue.

I was wondering this myself...

Rag at work today:

"We both got battered in the first half but you guys turned it around"

Me "what makes you think we got battered, did you see the match or just the highlights?"

Rag "highlights".

When we were shit, all the journos commenators and opposition fans admired and respected our loyalty and devotion. Now they all hate us - like we hated the rich kids at school who had all the smart kit.
Their whining distortion of our games annoys me but it's a fair price to pay to support and follow such an amazing team

Having been a City supporter for more years than most on this forum I understand what you say.
We were able to rise above all the criticism others gave us so they had little choice than to admire and respect our loyalty.

Surely this indifference to ridicule and criticism is part and parcel of being a City supporter so why should we expect anything else ? Do we really need the reassurances that we feel we deserve from those who used to patronise us just because we are getting more success than we used to have ?

Yes, maybe we would like others to see our achievements the way they do other teams but if we are upset by it is part of our traditional heritage changing perhaps for the worse ?

I'm actually beginning to find the ramblings of sky and BT sport quite amusing now it's gone beyond ridiculous, but what I find really irritating was Tyler's commentary on Sunday of the rags game he was trying to make a case every minute that if the rags pulled one back at this stage of the game etc he even mentioned just after Ramsey,s miss to make it 4-0 that Arsenal are the only team to let a 4 goal lead slip etc etc

Grim - absolutely.
He got his Big Book of Arselicking out and couldn't stop talking about the comeback that might happen.
I got the impression that Neville was a little embarrassed by him.
