Media bias against City

OK, still keeping score of the BBC Gossip Column stories. I've been keeping a note of how many times the following clubs get mentions in that column as it takes stories from all over the media. Our score is more remarkable given the fact that we're possibly getting the most sought after manager in world football - fuck knows what the Rag score would be if they were getting Guardiola. Anyway, since 1 Nov 15:

Rags - 309
Chelsea - 262 (approx 60 were about Mourinho)
Arsenal - 164
Liverpool - 161
City - 127
If you want an even clearer demonstration of the priorities of the media, go on the Metro's football page.

It's all Rags, Arsenal & Liverpool, with an occasional Chelsea story thrown in.

Nobody wanking over Sergios goal as expected. Imagine if a Mr Marshall had done it, it would be on loop between every BBC programme.

I agree with @Ric for this weekends MOTD lineup. We were expected to win and win well, pretty much a no story on the day. If wed lost or drawn we'd have got higher billing and the punditry kicking we deserved.

Like I said though, United's abject home form is clearly the bigger story, judging by tomorrow's back pages. Our straightforward victory is of little interest to anyone other than us.

True if that was the 'story' but MOTD is about entertainment and on that basis there is absolutely no comparison which game should have got greater prominence or air time.

Had to laugh at the radio Norwich coverage, admittedly they were praising city and aguero saying they were a pleasure to watch and it's no shame losing to us but they couldn't help themselves mentioning the cost of our team over and over "off goes £49 mil sterling replaced by £55 mil kgb" Dean Ashton pipes up as they are going of at half time " it's to be expected with the cost of that team"

Would have been comparisons with Maradona if Wooney or Sturridge had scored it.
Unless you knew, it would be difficult to tell we even played yesterday, going from the various radio sports reports.

Lol. What the f do you expect from radio Norwich?
(Unless your post was tongue in cheek in which case, you got me!)

I was also watching the soccer Saturday morons and when the report came in that Aguero had scored for City it was reported in such a bland manner it sounded like a tap in, whereas if wooney had scored it, like you say, I'm not sure the summariser would have been able to compose himself
