Do you think refs are instructed from the powers above to referee city matches dif to other clubs?
I do, yes.
We are seen as fair game for opposing teams and players by refs. Our players are constantly fouled and hacked down with refs grudgingly giving a free kick at times whilst waving it on if they can. Contrast that to the sheer amount of times we are penalised and booked for the slightest contact. How many times do we dominate possession yet end up with more bookings and more fouls against?
Look at the way our players are treated under contact in the box in contrast to others? Fuck me even the tv commentators are at it with the narrative of it not being enough to go down when its Kun or Sterling yet any other player and he was being clever there and if you feel contact you have to go down, its a penalty line when its any one else.
Where there is gambling and huge amounts of money at stake, there will always be cheating and corruption and to suggest the PL is immune is frankly ridiculous and heads in the sand stuff.
Explain how Madley (who I think is one of the worse refs in the league) cannot give a pen against Navas when seen clearly yet gives one for Spurs yesterday when his view was hidden. He received no help from the liner on either occasion. He is either a shit ref, corrupt, a rag or a combination of all three.

I believe some of the shambolic and one sided refereeing is caused by other factors which are pertinent to this thread.

The PL is a world wide multi £Billion business reliant on huge global tv audiences, many of whom are sadly tuning in to see their beloved rags, arse and chavs win.
Thats the reality and its the same reason we have a media bias in this country. They sell papers and they sell tv rights.
Those sides winning means money is being made.
The distaste for us over the last few years from everyone tells you all you need to know as the biggest threat we are to them all is in their pockets.

Well if folk do think its organised corruption to stop us this would be up there with the fifa scandal, the biggest and most watched football league in the world earning billions of pounds is out to halt Manchester city, i'm amazed one of those refs on £50'000 a year hasnt blown the whistle and earned a fortune.

Plenty of refs have disappeared over night and before their time was up over the last few years.
I wonder why??
Poll is on record as saying you gave Utd the decisions because you knew if you didn't, they would influence the league and the refs and you didn't get their games again.
If thats not cheating then i dont know what is.
Scudamore is also on record as saying a declining Utd are bad for business. They have had the rub of the green for years and they will get it again. Last minute penalty to save further embarrassment yet again against Sheffield Utd anyone?

Not saying it is or isn't happening here but it happened in Italy not long ago and I think you're forgetting that bad things happen to people who fuck over those who bribed them in the first place.
Just how long did it take for anything to be done about Blatter and Platini once it was made clear that all those dodgy deals had taken place? These people can afford decent lawyers and it would destroy the life of any whistleblower with the guts to come forward.
There's definitely corruption within British football as there's too much money to be made for it to be a clean business but I don't think we're being specifically targeted by referees. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if I was proven wrong.

If I was a ref I'd give them nothing but I'm probably in the minority & fortunately there are more fans of altrincham than the rags in the EPL.
